Superior Technical Services Mobilizes Mobile Workshop for Helwan Fertilizers SRV and Control Valve Shutdown

23-5-2022

In 2022, Superior Technical Services (STS), a division of Superior Group, partnered with Helwan Fertilizers Company (HFC) to execute a critical shutdown focusing on the maintenance and repair of safety relief valves (SRVs) and control valves at HFC’s production facility.

To efficiently manage the scope of work and minimize operational downtime, STS deployed its state-of-the-art mobile workshop directly to the HFC site.

This fully equipped mobile unit enabled the STS team to perform comprehensive valve testing, repair, and calibration services on-site, eliminating the need for off-site transportation of equipment.

The deployment of the mobile workshop offered several key advantages:

Reduced Downtime: On-site repairs expedited the maintenance process, allowing HFC to resume full operations more swiftly.

Cost Efficiency: Eliminating the logistics of transporting valves off-site reduced associated costs and resource allocation.

Enhanced Safety: Immediate access to specialized equipment and personnel ensured adherence to safety protocols during the shutdown.

Quality Assurance: The mobile workshop’s advanced tools facilitated precise testing and calibration, ensuring all valves met industry standards before recommissioning.

This collaboration underscores STS’s commitment to providing flexible and responsive maintenance solutions tailored to the specific needs of clients in the fertilizer industry.

By leveraging mobile infrastructure and technical expertise, STS continues to support the operational excellence of industry leaders like Helwan Fertilizers Company.
