Superior Technical Services Conducts PVRV Testing and Certification at ELNG Facility

In 2022, Superior Technical Services (STS), a division of Superior Group, collaborated with Egyptian Liquefied Natural Gas Company (ELNG) to perform critical maintenance on Pressure Vacuum Relief Valves (PVRVs) at ELNG’s liquefied natural gas facility in Idku, Egypt.

To ensure compliance with industry standards, STS mobilized its specialized PVRV testing unit directly to the ELNG site. This advanced equipment enabled the STS team to conduct on-site testing and certification of the PVRVs in accordance with API Standard 2000, which outlines the requirements for venting atmospheric and low-pressure storage tanks.

The on-site testing and certification process offered several key advantages:
