Superior Technical Services Completes Comprehensive Control Valve Maintenance at Egypt Hydrocarbon Corporation

In 2023, Superior Technical Services (STS), a division of Superior Group, partnered with Egypt Hydrocarbon Corporation (EHC) to execute a comprehensive maintenance program focused on control valves at EHC’s state-of-the-art facility in Ain Sokhna, Egypt.

EHC operates the first world-scale Low Density Ammonium Nitrate (LDAN) facility in the Middle East and Africa, with an annual production capacity of 350,000 metric tons of LDAN and 300,000 metric tons of Nitric Acid.

To ensure the reliability and efficiency of EHC’s production processes, STS mobilized its specialized mobile workshop directly to the EHC site. This fully equipped unit enabled the STS team to perform on-site repair, testing, and certification of control valves, eliminating the need for off-site transportation and minimizing operational downtime.

The maintenance program encompassed several critical activities:

• Comprehensive Diagnostics: Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools, the team assessed the condition and performance of each control valve to identify issues affecting operational efficiency.
