Superior Technical Services Mobilizes Emergency Workshop for Bapetco’s Obaiyed Site ISV Maintenance

In 2023, Superior Technical Services (STS), a division of Superior Group, responded promptly to an urgent maintenance request from Badr El Din Petroleum Company (Bapetco) at their Obaiyed site in Egypt’s Western Desert. The project focused on the repair and servicing of critical Isolation Valves (ISVs) essential for the site’s oil and gas production operations.

To address the situation efficiently, STS deployed its specialized emergency shutdown mobile workshop directly to the Obaiyed field. This fully equipped mobile unit enabled the STS team to perform comprehensive on-site diagnostics, repairs, and testing of the ISVs without the need for off-site transportation, thereby minimizing operational downtime.

The on-site maintenance approach offered several key advantages:
